Head Coach: MAGDA NIEUWOUDT (BSc Honours Sport Science)
Magda Nieuwoudt is a qualified Sport Scientist (BSc Honours) and Triathlon coach. She completed her BSc in Human Movement Studies and Nutrition at the North-West University. She is currently based in Pretoria, South Africa.
She is a professional Triathlete competing internationally in different Ironman and Ironman 70.3 events. She also dedicates her time to coaching amature and professional triathletes.
Her whole life revolves around sport and developing other athletes to reach their full potential. She has been part of the Triathlon world from age 20, representing her University (and coaching the team) and Province at South African Championships for 4 years.
Magda dominated her age group in the Duathlon events age cat (20 – 24) at SA Champs. At age 25 she started to develop a love for the longer events. She competed in two Duathlon World Championships and came 3rd in her age group in 2012. She also had the honour of participate in Ironman 70.3 World Championships 2015 as age grouper & 2018 as Pro athlete.
These days Magda can be found training and coaching in Pretoria, or doing races in South Africa and abroad.

Gareth has been racing as an age grouper for the past few years and understands what it takes for age-group athletes to train and dedicate their time to the sport of triathlon as well as balance work and personal time. His outlook is that no session will be made without an end goal in mind and every session has a purpose. Gareth strives to get the best out of every one of his athletes and for them to achieve their goals, no matter what they are. His promise is that every athlete gets the personal attention that they deserve and guidance to becoming a better athlete. Nowadays, Gareth can be found coaching and training in Pretoria with fellow club members of Trivium as well as competing in races across the country and Gauteng province. |
